The NRM primaries has been marred by electoral malpractices.

Whereas the NRM EC has continued to hold elections in those districts which had failed to carry out NRM primaries due to various reasons, still, some have not yet declared their results because of the disputed results.

Meanwhile, police in Budaka is also investigating the abduction of the Budaka Town Council Senior Treasurer, Mr Patrick Namenkere, on August 31 by unknown people.

Mr Namenkere who appeared shortly after the disappearance, alleged that he had been dosed with chloroform, abducted and taken to an unknown place, causing a lot of tension in Budaka as police searched for him.

But many politicians in Budaka allege that Mr Namenkere feigned kidnap to dodge the impending case against his group where he and supporters of a rival candidate, Mr Authur Mboizi, allegedly beat the incumbent LC5 aspirant for Budaka, Mr Sam Mulomi on eve of the polls
